Ok, so we are now in Vietnam. It is extremely hot! Very humid an for most men this can be really annoying and uncomfortable.

Well you will be happy to know there is a solution to help you stay dry.

Balla Powder to the rescue! I have the tingle formula which is lime and mint and does provide some tingling sensation, but most importantly it leaves you feeling fresh and comfortable.

London is one of those places that a person either loves or hates. In my case, I grew to love it over time. London town, referred to as “Foggy London,” is almost always rainy and cloudy but when the sun comes out, it is a marvelous place to be!…read more…

Sometimes, when you go to a place it is nice to see a familiar face. I almost all my trips to the UK, I make a point to go visit my extended friends in Shepperton, where we usually end up having a night of music, lots of vodka, ciders and ales…I can definitely feel myself this morning! It is always a great time and makes my trip complete! If there is someone you know n a specific country, take time and visit!

Today’s events will include a football match between arsenal and Aston villa, should be super great!

I saw in the Province (Vancouver) newspaper today that Virgin Atlantic will be starting YVR-LHR flights starting May 24, 2012. I am unsure if this is seasonal or will be a daily operation?  In any case, Virgin Atlantic is one of those Airlines that I have yet to fly. I have been on Virgin America a few times which was absolutely brilliant.  I am excited to see a new airline fly from Vancouver and offer more flexibility and more options when traveling to Europe.  It would be great to see Virgin join the Star Alliance, so that I could start using Virgin Atlantic (or at least try) when I go to Europe…  in any case May 24, 2012 is my 1-year wedding anniversary for my wife and I, so if you want to send me to London for the weekend with my wife on the inaugural flight, that would be sweet!

I am trying to think of a good subject for my blog post, but really good not come up with anything that just sounded wrong… subject titles such as:

  • I had ass for dinner last night
  • I had ass meat for dinner
  • Donkey meat in my pasta

I  don’t know, it just sounds all bad…well last night my business partner took me to this incredible little tavern place that was well over 100 years old and we had donkey meat spaghetti, or ass meat pasta…that was the first time I had ass for dinner and yeah, it was really good!   I have had 3 dishes of pasta in the last couple days since I have been in Milan, but am starting to notice that it is substantially different than what we get at home. At home we cook pasta until it is almost soggy or really soft, here they cook it and it is soft but kind of crunchy at the same time…Maybe I am just a bad pasta chef back home, not sure…

So far my very limited impressions of Milan, is that its a nice city with narrow streets, lots of vespa’s. The people are friendly and speak with passion and action – I love watching their hand movements and how they express themselves, I can never tell if a fist is going to fly or if they are just talking normal.

I am leaving back home in the morning, so tonight will be my last chance to indulge in Italian goodness!

Sometimes staying in and resting up is extremely important, I left my hotel last night in Bahrain around 8pm, and made it to Milan this morning around 11am. after connections and a bus. I then had to wait in a queue for over an hour to get a taxi to my hotel, it was awful. Upon my hotel at NH Nhew hotel (Cool hotel btw), They didn’t have any rooms until about 3pm, so I had some lunch and rummaged through a few emails before making it up to my room.   I was so tired and exhausted due to the sloth on the airplane beside me, who must have thought that half of my seat was his seat…I really dislike ‘larger” people on airplanes who do not purchase enough space for themselves…in any case – I think the airlines in the USA have addressed that fairly good compared to the airlines in Europe.  I decided to take a quick rest and was going to go see a couple sites, clearly my rest was much longer than I expected it to be, it is now 9pm and I am still tired and sleepy, so I think I will just be staying in tonight and maybe google the images of Milan.  Yes, disappointing I know, but truth is, I am usually go go go an I need to really learn to take better care of myself and my rest and ensure that I am healthy and whole for my meetings. The next two days will be another conference and I am expecting it to be busy and fruitful!
